Jasmine Cardenas

Programs Manager

Jasmine joined the Friends for Youth team in early 2018 as our 1-to-1 and Group Mentoring intern, and she is now the Program Manager for the school-based group mentoring program. Jasmine is passionate about mentoring our school youth and making a difference in her own community. She was born and raised in the Bay Area (Redwood City) and got her B.A. in Sociology at California State University, East Bay. In high school, Jasmine was a mentee through another non-profit organization on the peninsula and learned how life-changing mentoring can be. Jasmine wants to continue creating safe spaces for students at school so they can be themselves and feel supported without judgment. She is grateful to pay it forward and offer this opportunity to students in her own community. Jasmine enjoys trying new foods, traveling, being a boba drink connoisseur and playing with her puppies Mia and Max!
