Eunice S. Navarro
Sr. Development Coordinator
Eunice's journey with Friends for Youth began in 2009, when she joined the program as a mentee and was matched with her mentor, Paulette. Growing up in a single-parent household with limited support, Eunice found guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging through her mentorship experience. That life-changing connection with her mentor helped lay the foundation for her deep commitment to youth empowerment.
In 2022, Eunice returned to Friends for Youth professionally, starting as a Development Associate. She has since grown into her current role as Senior Development Coordinator, where she supports fundraising efforts, helps build the organization’s alumni network, and has led art workshops and creative experiences that bring connection and healing to youth, alumni, and supporters alike. Eunice also serves as a mentor in the group mentoring program, working alongside her longtime mentor, Paulette. Together, they support the next generation of youth with the same care and dedication that shaped Eunice’s own path.
Drawing from her experience as a first-generation household with Mexican heritage, Eunice carries a strong awareness of the challenges faced in our underserved communities—and the power of connection and community in overcoming them. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she is passionate about giving back to the same community that once uplifted her. “I was one of these kids,” she says—a reminder of the personal insight, cultural understanding, and empathy she brings to her work.
